About Notionovus®
Pronounced "notion-o-vus" the word is a registered servicemark. This company name is a compounding of two Latin words.
- Notio - the Latin word for "idea" or "thought"
- Novus - the Latin word for "new"
So, I guess the correct pronunciation is "no-tee-o-no-voos". Essentially a noun meaning a new thought. I won't be offended as long as you don't pronounce it "Liberty-Biberty".
Why this company exists
There are many "technology leaders". We want to be innovation leaders, even if the innovation employs less or backward technology.
The rapid pace of change today cannot be managed or controlled. Companies just want solutions that leave them more intact in their future state.
What happens here
Notionovus focuses on turning ideas into working systems. That includes connected workflows, digital tools, integration patterns, content, and illustrative prototypes.
The point is not to admire ideas. The point is to understand their value and maximize their utility.
How the work is changing
For years, much of this work happened quietly: observing, building, testing, refining. Let's just say we've "been in the lab with a pen and a pad".
Now our focus is on bringing tools to bear on greatly reducing the lead time to prototype. The faster you get a working model, the quicker we find out what doesn't work.
Who is behind it
Notionovus is led by Brian P. Anderson, a systems-oriented technologist and builder focused on connecting ideas to implementation.
The work spans software, integration, digital workflows, writing, and practical system design that helps people navigate change with minimal risk.
